This scarf or table runner is created with the thrums (or waste yarn created in the weaving process). I tie bits of yarn left over from weaving, knitting and other fiber arts projects into a continuous length of yarn. The warp of the project is mercerized cotton and the silver color contrasts with the natural fibers (wool, cotton and silk) used in the weft. The tails of the knots stick through the warp and created a texturized project. This project highlights my commitment to using all of the waste products of my weaving projects.
Care instructions will be included in each purchase but generally these will be handwash only in cold water with a fiber specific cleanser.
